I'm on an iPhone - how do I log into the bot?

  • Visit the home page of the website and click on the Launch DIOP on Apple IOS button.
  • Then click the blue launch button.
  • If you do not have Google Maps installed, the bot will prompt you to install Google Maps.
  • After doing this, repeat the steps above.
  • To view messages from the bot click the updates tab in Google Maps (near the bottom of your screen)

I'm on an Android phone - how do I log into the bot?

  • Visit the home page of the website and click on the Launch DIOP on Apple IOS button.
  • If you phone model has a lower Android version, you may need to use another device to participate. Please email doitonpurpose@hollard.co.za with your device details and we will try help you.

I'm on a Windows phone / Blackberry / Harmony OS phone. How do I access the bot?

Unfortunately the bot only works on Android or IOS devices. But you can beg or borrow a phone from a friend or family member and get up to date in one sittng.

When I type in my ID number, it does not recognise me

I've lost the bot, how do I get back to it?

Visit www.doitonpurpose.co.za and click on the relevant launch button.

I'm in the bot and I'm stuck and I don't know what to do next

What technology does the bot use?

The bot uses Google Business Messages, a tool that enables users to "chat" with an organisation. Google Business Messages is built into nearly every Android phone on the market and is available via Google Maps for Apple Iphone users.
